We’re an independent bookstore with a big love for stories that stay with you long after you’ve closed the book. English fiction is our speciality; from contemporary literary gems and unforgettable romances to sharp thrillers, modern classics and a lot of fantasy. Whether you’re looking to unlock new worlds, meet characters that feel like friends, or find a story that perfectly matches your mood, we’ve got you!

1. Can I order a book you don’t have in stock?
Yes, of course. If we don’t have your book on our shelves (yet), we’re happy to order it for you. Just tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll do the rest.
2. Do you sell gift cards?
We do! Our gift cards are perfect for the “I didn’t know what to get you” moments. Let your favorite reader choose their next world to unlock.
3. Do you only sell English fiction?
English fiction is our specialty (and first love), but it’s not the only thing you’ll find. We carefully curate a small selection of other genres like graphic novels and children books.
4. Can I just come in and read for a while?
Yes. Please do. The Paperback is meant to feel like a living room. Grab a book, sink into a chair, take your time.
5. What are your opening hours?
We’re open from Tuesday until Sunday between 11 – 18.
6. Do you host book clubs or events?
We do! From cozy book clubs to intimate author evenings and themed reading nights. We love bringing readers together. Keep an eye on our socials or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.
7. Who is Chloe and will she be there when I visit?
Chloe is our shop dog, official greeter and part-time nap specialist. She loves books (mostly as pillows) and people (especially if they bring snacks). She’s often in the shop, but she does take the occasional day off.
8. Is my dog welcome?
Chloé would be really excited to meet your dog! She loves to play.
